Unix timestamp - seconds since 1 Jan 1970 UTC. A 10-digit number. Used in APIs, logs, JWT.
Milliseconds - same but x1000 (13 digits). Used in JavaScript (Date.now), Java.
ISO 8601 - human-readable format: 2026-04-16T12:34:56Z. Z = UTC. +02:00 = timezone offset.
Timezone - the same instant shows different local times around the world. Server logs are usually UTC.
